Daily Prayers to Renew Your Mind
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2 ESV
Prayer is powerful. When we pray aloud our identity in Christ, sin’s deception and lies are rooted out and replaced with Truth, and our minds are renewed.
Consider praying these prayers daily or as often as you can to remind yourself who God is and who you are because of what Jesus has finished on the cross.
Tips to get the most out of this daily practice:
Read these prayers out loud rather than silently or to yourself.
Speak these with a clear mind—really think about what you are saying.
Proclaim these truths with full trust and confidence in Jesus and His finished work.
-I recognize by faith that God is worthy of all honor, praise, and worship as the Creator, sustainer and end of all things
-I confess that God made me for Himself and for His glory
-I recognize by faith that God loves me and chose me in Jesus Christ before time began
-I recognize by faith that God proved his love for me by sending his son Jesus to die on the cross in my place and that he forgave me of all my sins, past and present, and has made provision for the forgiveness of my sins in the future as I obediently confess and repent of them
-I recognize by faith that I have been raised with Christ and am seated with Him in the heavenlies
-I recognize by faith that I have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and that God has accepted me, adopted me into his family, justified me, made me complete in Christ and has given me eternal life
-I recognize by faith that only God Himself can cancel the debt of sin, save me and produce holiness in me
-I now surrender to His will and receive Jesus as my sanctification, trusting Him to do whatever may be necessary in my life so that I may be able to live today and always in love, humility, purity, freedom, and power, for His glory
-Having confessed that God is worthy of all praise, that the scriptures are the only authoritative standard of living, that only God can deal with sin and produce holiness in my life, I recognize by faith my total dependence upon the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
-With my whole heart, a clear mind, and all my trust, I commit to submit to Almighty God and obey Him in all things
-I freely and fully confess my sins and deliberately choose to walk in the light of Jesus, without making excuses for sin or blaming anyone for past failures
-According to the promise of God, I believe that since I have confessed my sins, that Jesus has forgiven me and cleansed me of all sin, past and present, by the power of His shed blood on the cross
-I renounce all self-effort in following God, and commit to depend fully on His grace and undeserved love for me from this day forth
-I renounce all disobedience and hesitation in obeying Jesus Christ and His call to me in the Word of God, the Holy Scriptures
-I renounce all unbiblical views, goals, motives, and activities, in Jesus Name
-I receive Jesus as my sanctification, healer, and deliverer, by way of the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ
-I commit to walk in the newness of life, filled with the Holy Spirit and with the fruit of righteousness that comes by grace in Jesus Christ
-I now receive Jesus Christ as my deliverance from Satan and his evil spirits
-In Jesus name I submit myself to God and stand against all of Satan’s influence, deception, lies, and fears
-In cooperation with the Holy Spirit and dependence on God, I will obey the command to resist the devil
-And upon these confessions I now ask and fully receive the Holy Spirit as my anointing, and am filled by Him anew for life and service, in Jesus Name
-The Lord Jesus is my banner! Amen!
